Episode 60 – 5 Stages of Deception

Pastor took a vacation, so Thomas is all alone for this installment, which was on the 5 stages of successful deception. If you’re interested in learning about the initiation and progression of deception, and what that looks like, this is for you. If not, listen anyway – you just might get something out of it (like a nap!).

Episode 52 – Public Discourse (why so shrill-ious?)

This was going to be a bonus episode, but things ended up getting in the way of recording, so we decided it would take the place of a regular episode. In it, we sit down in Pastor’s office and talk about whether or not the religious (and political, and pretty much you name it) conversations happening seem to us to be getting more shrill. Pastor voiced an interesting theory for why this might be the case, and Thomas mused over whether this makes us less effective in swaying people’s minds.

Episode 51 – Dialogue About Dialogue

Episode 50 – Marriage

In this 1/2 length episode (done in this way so that Thomas can enjoy his month post-marriage with little or no Count Joy obligations) we talked about the topic of marriage. The entire episode is spent on the positive teaching of the Bible with regard to marriage, causing Pastor to remark later that he’s surprised that the conversation didn’t turn to “gay” marriage. How could it when we only had half an hour to cover a subject this massive as the Bible’s teaching on the union of men and women in matrimony?

We discussed how it’s done, how it should be done, and why it’s important. This has already become one of our favorite episodes!

In this 1/2 length episode (done in this way so that Thomas can enjoy his month post-marriage with little or no Count Joy obligations) we talked about the topic of the “culture war:” what it is, and why we are… er… less than enthused about it.
